With the gorgeous summer weather we have been experiencing these past couple of weeks, it’s a great idea to make the most of every dining opportunity out there. We found some of the best patio dining spots around the suburbs so if you’re up and about in the area with family, check out these places for a delicious meal. Stage Deli | West Bloomfield
Stage Deli is known for their modern decor and over-stuffed sandwiches that will leave you satisfied. They offer fresh ingredients in all of their entrees like the classic Reuben sandwich, matzoh ball soup, and even the Massive Titanic Sandwich (Corned Beef, Pastrami, Turkey, Coleslaw, Swiss, smothered in Russian Dressing! Griffin Claw Brewing Company | Birmingham
The ultimate summer’s night should be spent at Griffin Claw Brewing Co, with their awesome selection of beer, various food options, and this relaxing patio area by the fire pit. Bring your friends here because they also offer a 12-beer flight selection that arrives on a skateboard!
Otus Supply | Ferndale
Scroll through Otus Supply’s menu and you’ll notice that every plate sounds creative and delicious. Items like Filthy Animal Pizza, Zucchini Fritters, savory Boar Rigatoni, and even Waygu Beef Tartare is worth the visit here. Not to mention the cool interior and spacious seating area!
Streetside Seafood | Birmingham
Another gem located in downtown Birmingham where you can stroll around the shops and stop by for a bite. Traditional seafood items like Greek Calamari, Charred Octopus, and even Oysters Rockefeller. Those are just the appetizers so order a couple to share around the table!
Lipuma’s Coney Island | Rochester
Grab a couple of Chicago, New York style, Chilli Dogs, Chilli Cheese Fries, and a refreshing Root Beer Float before walking along the Clinton River Trail. This is the ultimate neighborhood joint for hanging with friends and spending the day outside and in downtown Rochester.
Detroit Fleat | Ferndale
Detroit Fleat is basically a food truck park with an indoor bar seating and a spacious outdoor seating. Their indoor bar offers various happy hour food and drinks and you can head outside to check out the rotating food trucks. Check out Detroit Fleat’s website for your favorite food truck and when they’ll be in the area. Their permanent food trucks include Delectable, Pita Post, and Mac Shack.
Mint 29 | Dearborn
Mint 29 is an upscale restaurant that doesn’t cut corners on offering the best service and plenty of steak options. If you’re really hungry and want to make it a fun night, order the infamous Aged Tomahawk Steak, see visual here! Enjoy that visual along with a great view on their patio.
The Morrie | Royal Oak
This music-themed restaurant is a perfect choice for a Saturday brunch or dinner. Some key menu items include their crispy Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, Loaded Waffle Fries, and their deliciously chargrilled Roadhouse Ribs. The weekly live-music entertainment and prime downtown Royal Oak location should be on your upcoming weekend plans.
Avenue American Bistro |Wayne
This is not your typical sports bar with just a decent bar selection. Their food menu includes insane burgers, like the White BBQ Bacon Burger and Jameson Pickle-Back Burger and even shareable items like their gourmet Sweet Heat Shrimp Tacos, Falafel Tacos, and Baja Fish Tacos.
Brick’s of Northville | Northville
Another great sports bar to check out! For lunch and dinner, Brick’s offer a wide variety of classic menu items so you can have a little taste of everything. They have small plates like Angus Beef Sliders, Blackened Steak Tips, and Calamari to start. Enjoy all the food outside on their patio for the ultimate foodie experience.
Atwater in the Park | Grosse Pointe Park
This gastropub is a classic favorite among the locals. The unique location is inside a former church and is quite spacious for any occasion. Their menu includes over 40+ taps and includes scrumptious plates like the Drunken Fish Tacos, Beer Cheese Patty Melt, and even the German Sausage Platter! Also, their patio is dog-friendly!
Ocean Prime | Troy
Quite the breathtaking view, right? You should check out their inside bar and surf-n-turf food menu. Enjoy some fresh oysters, a couple of unique cocktails, and Smoked Gouda Tater Tots to start with. Ocean Prime also offer gluten-free, small plates, and even happy hour options!
Axle Brewing Co. | Ferndale
Axle is another wonderful neighborhood gathering place for your brunch, lunch, and even dinner plans. The ambiance indoors and outdoors, along with refreshing beer selections on tap and tasty brunch options (like Waygu Steak & Eggs, Spam Hash, Biscuits & Gravy) are why folks keep coming back for more.
Sedona Taphouse | Troy
Two words- Rooftop Patio! Enjoy the sun or sunset views with a glass of good Nitro beer or wine by your side. Their beer selection is quite intimidating, so pick a classic or go with a flight. The food options like Spicy Thai Shrimp, French Quarter Pasta, Australian “Kobe Beef” Sliders and Goat Cheese & Basil Flatbread will satisfy everyone’s cravings.
Amici’s Pizza | Berkley
Another classic hit where you can enjoy freshly baked pizza, complimentary bread, and great outdoor seating. Their pies have a creative spin to it, like Caribbean Spicy Jerk Chicken Pizza or Roasted Eggplant Pizza, so you should definitely order a couple to pass around.
